I have been working at One Call Care Management

Pros

Monday to Friday schedules and closing time of 5:30 pm.

Cons

Leadership? What leadership?? Company takes on more than it can handle and employees are extremely stressed out. There is no room for growth.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Seek leaders that want to solve problems instead of creating them.

    Pros

    They are still hiring even in this bad economy.
    I think they realize how stressed everyone is so they have been trying to do some morale raising events.

    Cons

    They expect way too much for way too little. Most people startat a shift of 11:30 - 8:30 and have to earn an earier shift thru senority.

    Realize that people have limitations.

    I worked at One Call Care Management as a contractor

    Pros

    Company helps injured workers get to medical/psych appointments and helps with communication. Many "line' staff are friendly, helpful and skilled customer service reps. Many understand current internal chaos caused by administrators attempting to protect their jobs through coverups and blaming others. Suport staff other than portal staff are GREAT!

    Cons

    Understaffing causes unrealistic workloads. Contracted workers all over the country suffer from poor customer service at critical times of the day due to short staffing. Company claims 24 hour access but customer service after hours is often an answering service with little knowledge about the company systems. Administrators often project blame onto staff and contractors for bad admin leadership and development calls. Company attempting to rollout new information systems without training home office staff first. and with little knowledge about contractor computer literacy. Frustrated contractors seek answers and are referred to rude and indecisive portal support staff working with the new systems. Contractors are often told to 'quit" if they aren't happy. Contractor payment processing is delayed for additional weeks due to new system confusion and hostile administrator additudes that are punishing and non supportive. Many point of contact customer service people are great. Portal administrators do not return calls and are swept away by overwork and deceit that compounds already out of control problems.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Take care of your contractors or you will suffer even more reputation disintegration and future business. Take a close look at the integrity of those who are managing the portal rollout. Provide a method for contractor comments outside current people managing the rollout. Review current accounts payable for delayed and incorrect payments to contractors related to the rollout. Who decided to rollout the portal without training contractor support staff in the office? All calls about portal process are referred to portal support who refer callers back to other areas of the business like closings and accounts payable. Portal support is objectifying and often rude when asked directly about processes Contractors will walk if you don't fix this now.
