I worked at OneTouch Direct

Pros

They were flexible with my schedule once I proved myself as a top sales person. The training department was stellar. The cafeteria was nice.

Cons

You would come to work on time and be subject to being sent home because there were not enough seats. They expected a certain number of people to be a no show per day and if more showed up for their assigned shift people were released for the day. If you were a top performer and the call center was below goal on sales, they would switch you to inbound sales to bring the sales up. This meant that while you sold well on calls that were sales calls, you got a lot of calls that had to be referred to the client (ie verizon). Consequently, you were only paid commission if your call to sale ratio was over a certain percentage and you couldn't control how many customer service calls you would get.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Tell the truth when you hire people about the income potential. It is very low. They announce to the news stations that they are hiring a massive amount of people and that the average salary is XYZ but in truth, the average salary is very low and the massive hiring is due to massive turn over.

I have been working at OneTouch Direct

    Pros

You have oppurtunity to make commission, its a laid back enviorment. They give away prizes all the time. If you just need a job while your looking for another job, they are a good start.

    Cons

You have to constantly keep up with the fluctuating commission because they will short your check if you dont pay attention. The enviorment is laid back but a little too laid back at times because employees can get loud and that includes the supervisors. They hire you for one thing then switch you to something else, give you shorter hours and give you a few days of pointless training cause you walk out more confused then you did walking in. You cant really plan anything with your check because its based on commission. If you dont sale your check is under 600. If you dont make sales they whine and if you make too many sales they whine and get suspicious. Its mainly a place young people work. 24 and under, so there is a lot of immaturity and temper tantrums going on.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

You need more professionalism, and you need to train your employees better. Stop threatening staff with their jobs and just give positive reinforcement. Give people the job, salary, and hours you promised them when you hired them. Improve on payroll. People shouldnt constantly have to be compensated because you short their check all the time.

I have been working at OneTouch Direct

    Pros

The work environment is fast paced and the management does their best to make sure you succeed no matter what position you are in. The benefits are pretty good and there is the opportunity to move up if you can demonstrate the ability to do so. The center is pretty nice and well kept. There are prizes and weekly drawings for big ticket items and employees of the week to keep up morale.

    Cons

My only downside to working here (which they are currently fixing) is that they are a young company and are still working out the kinks and still finding out what works and what doesn't in many categories. Their infrastructure could use an overhaul with the focus being on computers. Being employed third party means that things can change very fast.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The management is making leaps and bounds in how they are giving incentives for employees. They also are always listening to the representatives through focus groups on how they can do things better. Please continue to keep up the good work to make sure that there is a healthy and happy sales floor.
