There are a lot of good people who have good experience and expertise and when you can get their time will be very helpful. The company does treat its employees well and in general its a good work environment developing software in a interesting area.
Cons
The company always felt bigger than it was and was too political for its size. Too many individual groups were going in their own direction with their own agenda, resulting too many duplications of efforts. There is a lot of expertise and experience throughout the company but people are often too focused on the immediate projects and goals to be able to help. Too much work is done with the a short goal in mind at the cost of long term productivity and improvement.
Advice to Senior Management

This has led at times to products/projects not being started until they are sold, and then there being a rush to complete and a re-enforcement of the developing
Both models are (product and professional services) valid, but lead to very different organizations. If OpenTV really wants to be a successful product development company, then it needs to be able to understand its customers business and successfully define and develop products that the market needs and wants so that the they are ready before the customer needs them.
