I have been working at OpenText

Pros

The people who work here are absolutely amazing, going above and beyond consistently to be recognized by upper management for a chance to move up within the organization.

Cons

Chances to move up are few and far between, but good things come to those who wait, or find a better opportunity elsewhere.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

you HAVE to institute at least a cost of living increase every year, the lack thereof is causing you to lose good people.

I have been working at OpenText full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

I work in services orgamization and it is one the better Employers I've worked with over the years. Management is helpful and works to actively maintain a proper work/life balance.

    Cons

Management is slow to act on important policies and approvals. .

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Upper managment is still old school and thinks iterative waterfall process is the best software process to use! You will often run against roadblocks if you try to do something that is not been in practice for at least last 20 years. I believe the next step for OT can only be achieved by being nimble and incorporating more startup like characteristics.
