Open Text values the bottom line over customers and employees.

    Pros

    Co-workers were nice and helpful.

    Cons

Open Text does not value its employees or the service they provide to their customers. They lack product vision relative to the technologies that they have acquired.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

A paradigm shift is needed in the culture to place more value on employees and customers. Penny pinching may look good on the financial books, but perceptions in the marketplace and not nurturing your best employees will cause both customers and employees to go elsewhere.

    Pros

From the beginning to the end (of four years), it was great to be allowed freedom to spread my wings and succeed on my own terms.

    Cons

As a remote employee, I found it challenging to disengage from the high-pressure firehose of information and projects coming my way. But that was my own fault, for not maintaining balance.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I was very happy with my management team, and I suppose the best advice I could give is to pay attention to what each of the team is contributing, and tailor/recognize their work accordingly.
