Former Employee - New Account Supervisor in Denver, CO

I worked at OppenheimerFunds

Pros

great flexible hours-37 is FT pay, ongoing relevant required training, complete benefit package, numerous opportunities for advancement, support the military and veterans

Cons

bad location in relation to where I prefer to live. HR hires without input from supervisors but they also have the honor of firing so evens out.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

keep improving training opportunities, move to more rural area so Denver traffic is not so much of a concern. smiles

I have been working at OppenheimerFunds

    Pros

Treated fairly. Most managers know what they are doing a and have employee's best interest at heart. Like the caring atmosphere..and most managers help manage a work/life balance!

    Cons

Lots of pressure to not make errors..and getting a job off the phones can be hard.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keoep up the good work! Asst sups, and supervisors in the call center need to be trained better (espcecially if they are promoted from the phones/processing. Sr. Managers are pretty visible and have regular town halls to share what is going on.

    I worked at OppenheimerFunds

    Pros

    People are nice, and helpful.
Good place to get a license-If you can pass the test the first time

    Cons

Currently going through a "back door lay-off" Not a good sign.
No room for growth- Whatever job you start with you will end with
No new ideas-leadership, if you can call them that-does the same thing over and over.
Same old management from year to year, with no new blood.
Stagnant work environment-No new blood at all.
Total lack of loyalty to employees!! They will stab you in the back in a heart beat.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Grow a pair and learn how to run a business effectively! It's not 1989 anymore! Also, stop dropping your experienced employees for newbies who don't know what they're doing. And, you can replace about half of your management staff easily!
