Good work environment, improved leadership and organizational improvements

I have been working at Optimal Payments - NETELLER full-time for more than 5 years

Pros- Great industry to be in with lots of future growth potential
- Good work environment, rarely forced to do overtime, and for the most part leaders respect fostering a work / life balance.
- Great vacation and 1 personal day off each month.
- Average health / dental
- Positive changes to bloated management team

Cons- Management scared to take risks.
- Location
- No long term incentive plan (bonuses / profit sharing)
- No pension / rrsp matching

Advice to Senior ManagementTo be considered an innovator, you have to be willing to take risks. Companies that are true innovators are not afraid to fail... that could be up to 70% of the time. Board / Sr Directors should guide the ship, but should be involved at lower level design / planning sessions. Focus on identifying the business problem and trust the team and their expertise to deliver a solution. Not all initiatives need to focus on revenue out of the gate. Build good products and revenue will come.

Pros: Money, work life balance and uh, money. Cons: Management is basically smart as week old bread. Advice to Senior Management: Quit and get someone in with vision More

One lost company

Pros: Coworkers were usually ok people to work with. Building was newish and ok. A great place… Cons: Company lost it's way after the 2007 debacle with the US pullout and never recovered after that. There was a huge loss of company identity… Advice to Senior Management: Kick your marketing groups in the bum, get a new… No, I would not recommend this company to a friend More
