I have been working at Oracle full-time (more than a year)

Pros

Small company, so you will get immediate attention, HR ppl are responsive and supportive.

Cons

If you join in flexcube division, then well and good. But if you join in consulting (primesourcing) division, then its not a good place to work. Not many projects, so you have to continue in same project even if you dont want to. Citi group only major client. People who are in onsite, they remain in onsite for ever and till they want. Very less onsite of others even if you perform above expectation in offshore.
Last but not the least - its still not clear if this company is "Oracle Financial Services" or still "i-flex". Policies are not clear. Managers at high position do whatever they want(like sending onsite, promotion etc). Not a clear process oriented company.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Make policies and process better and transparent. Decide if this is "Oracle Financial Services" or still "i-flex". If its "Oracle Financial Services" then stop using i-flex name and intigrate into Oracle. Companies like Sun are already integrated in Oracle.

    Shocking Graduate Program

I have been working at Oracle full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

    - Often no guidance, so you can come late and leave early
    - Easy to get in to
    - Oracle will look good on your resume when you leave
    - Almost 100% of the grads leave and manage to get a job somewhere else, where they might actually enjoy (there are almost no past grads still working here)

    Cons

    - Low salary and policies in place to prevent you having more than 10% increase, although even if that policy was in place, you wouldn't get an increase more than inflation because management will not approve it
    - the graduate manager will meet you in the first week and then not have anything to do with you for the rest of the program and the manager of your rotation will not want to have anything to do with you
    - not really much opportunity for growth and learning because no one will allocate any resources to you
    - the average age is over 40 so there is no real social feeling in the office
    - the different lines of business are very separate from each other which makes for lack of team spirit and difficulty in internal process with working together

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    - Provide Grads opportunities for growth and development
    - Only hire as many grads as you have the capacity to mentor
    - Implement a payment increase plan, unique to grads, that ignores the raise-limit, so that after the program, grads have the opportunity to work their way up to market rate as their competencies develop (that way, you won't be training people up for other companies)
    - Wake up, and see what's happening around you. There is no way to retain Grads, post-program, with the current conditions. They're not stupid.
