I have been working at Oracle full-time (more than 5 years)

Pros

very good organization, offers flexible work timing, good management practices and pro employee policies.
very strict with ethical business practices.

Cons

recently have observed that Customer facing teams are given more preferences - in tearms of comnpansation and other benifits like Bonus etc.
Internal teams are a bit neglected in above aspects.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Rationalize the compensation across the ORG, based on career levels.
This was not a problem earlier, but, has become a major issues, with lot of acquisitions.

    There's no work pressure and has a very friendly atmosphere

    Hike percent is less and less opportunities to move to higher position

    I have been working at Oracle full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

    Large org, with great technology, good people, lots of flexibility, can work remotely, aggressive org., lots of customers and has a big brand

    Cons

    Its not employee oriented. No HR whatsoever. they do not care if employees leave or are unhappy, as they think, there are limited places for employees to go to, given they acquired almost every other software company and so, the logic at the top management is, let's stuff our pockets with lots of cash and options, while we squeeze the employees and partners. Mark Hurd has added no real value and all he does is try to screw employees, like he did at HP. Its a short sighted company in terms of patience to close deals, etc. as they have still not learnt that selling DB and Apps are different ball games and the sales cycles are different. They hve been losing good folks for a while now. Its overall a cold culture, with zero HR

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Take care of your employees better, in terms of a proper career planning and growth system. Make employees feel they are valued, vs. they being organs of selling for you and if they dont, you just cut them off.
