    Pros

-learn some good technology -leader in databases -good salary and benefits -looks good on resume

    Cons

-Oracle getting into hardware was bad move. -Exadata is a bad product -type A's and zero people skills mgrs run the place -political back stabbing everywhere -slackers who are clueless take credit for other's work -technical sales engineers are hourly workers, have to keep track of overtime and travel -customers do not like working with Oracle, lots of ill feelings. -high turnover -no pay raises, ever ! what you come in with, is what you will make even after 3-4 years later. -don't even think about a pay raise.

    Advice to Management

Oracle is OK to be for a few years then get out. Difficult place to work with the type A's and manager with zero people skills, and politically maneuvering and back stabbing. Too much political, good ole boy networks. Who you know is more important than what you know and your performance. No teamwork, no pay raises, no collaboration. management needs to treat its valuable people as assets, and not disposables.

    Pros

Big company. Oracle has lots to offer. A technical person can learn a lot.

    Cons

There are not many trainings. The higher management does not want to invest much on trainings, They expect you to make more profit for the fiscal year.
