Former Employee – worked at Oracle full-time for more than 3 years

Pros – - The people make all the difference. Some real talent and it has been a pleasure to work with them. I've made some good friends here.
- International replacement possible to almost any location Oracle has an office.
- Great place to learn.

Cons – - Too much training, that doesn't give real value in helping speak to prospects.
- Company believes that relationships don't matter, as they have the products.
- Management in general have little or no sales experience, making it hard to have a conversation about deals.
- Way too many deal reviews, with no real value to anyone.
- Most managers and sales support staff work harder on justifying their role than actually working.

Advice to Senior Management – Re-structure the management team. Decrease the number of first-line managers to a more realistic ratio, as there is no underlying need for "baby-sitters". Learn to listen to your sales staff - no matter what you believe, you can still learn a thing or two.
