    Pros

Lots of free time. Work is not very hectic. Stable job.

    Cons

Because of the size of the company experience can vary a lot. Each group has its own pros and cons. But the entire culture of the company is very bureaucratic. Things move extremely slowly and there is hardly any scope for professional growth.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep the meetings small and relavant.

    Pros

The opportunity or application engineered hardware platforms is compelling. It will ease implementation for customers and improve ROI

    Cons

Lack of teamwork and collaboration. Every sales reps or solutions group is out for themselves. There appears to be a lack of focus on customer requirements. This hurts customer satisfaction.

Limited focus on cloud enabled solutions. Oracle's hardware portfolio, ExaData excluded, continues to fall 15-20% quarter over quarter. No career path for hardware-focused employees.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Hardware is about collaboration and engineered systems while software can be sold independently since all packages are mutually exclusive. You hired Mark Hurd from HP but restrict you way he can run the business. The hardware business will continue to lose revenue and marketshare unless that is your strategy.
