I worked at Oracle full-time (more than an year)

Pros

Employees are respected and cared for. One can join this company as a fresher and can learn everything there is to, and new ideas are also welcomed.

Cons

Slow growth. And that's pretty much about it. No strong Cons of this company. May be low salary in the beginning, but not that low.

I worked at Oracle full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

    The salary is quite good.
Good additional advantages, like meal tickets and medical insurance.
    Nice colleagues.
You can learn a lot of interesting stuff.

    Cons

The salary will not change for as long as you work there, no real bonuses, nothing to keep you going.
The work environment is stiff, you are discouraged when it comes to socializing, you are viewed as a threat by your managers if you come with ideas to improve things.
Eventually, if you keep trying, your manager will do his best to get rid of you.
The appraisal process is just a bad joke, the manager's pets will always get great results, while the people that really do something will be frustrated by the results.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Dear Managers, try to listen to your direct's point of view and stop being irrational when it comes to improving the work process and the work environment, also keep in mind that your team is made of humans, not numbers or mere resources.

I have been working at Oracle full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

On a non-management position the place is great for the flexibility. It allows homeworking and also provides all the necessary technology for the job. It is a company where is important to get things done, no matter when/how, the restriction level is low meaning that it allows creativity, self time management and self service.

    Cons

Salaries are not flexible, you need to be very happy with the salary when you sign the contract as you will not see relevant changes even in case of promotions. Bonuses are also low comparing to different other companies and they are not yearly, the annual employee appraisal with high score does not necessary come with any bonus.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Constantly provide and request feedback to employees
