I have been working at Oracle full-time (more than a year)

Pros

Awesome team with deep experience, great personalities and dedication to ethical and quality work. We do the right thing for the client and come up with innovative solutions. Employees are appreciated and rewarded appropriately. There are lots of new products and cutting edge technologies in Big Data, Analytics, Business Intelligence and hardware platforms that keep my job interesting and engaging.

Cons

Hours can be long but sometimes those hours are drinks with partners. My work group is great but I know other work groups around the country aren't as cohesive.

    I worked at Oracle

    Pros

    - There is nothing good about the company .Employees are treated as slaves

    Cons

    - Worst team experience
    - No foresight from Managers and Senior managers
    - Team members are extremely disrespectful and judgmental of one another
    - All the expectations normal as one grows in experience were thrown out
    - No explanations given to actions requested as a team
    - Management works with our way or highway thinking and there is no sense of reality what so ever. They behave as though , their reports are useless
    - No hearing of problems , no control over the professionalism expected in a team situation
    - If the managers think that they can do all the work , then they should let the teams go and work themselves

All in all a filthy / lousy environment as a team . Total stagnation !!!!

*** HAVING A BRAND NAME DOES NOT ENSURE CONTINUITY AND SUCCESS **
Very Very bad company to work for - BEWARE

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    - A review of all the upper management in various departments needs to be carried out
    - Would like to ask why if there was a change expected and spoken to by the member to manager not properly actioned - why was the report not made aware . PEOPLE MAKE A COMPANY AND NOT COMPANY MAKING PEOPLE
    - Please come down from the utopic world and check what is happening . Management is very partial and is holding things against members of the teams that report to them
    - Have a uniform view of policies and wake up to the new generation - not 15th and 16th century thinking
    - One advice - Employees with experience are platinum and no number of new hires at lower salary will be able to compensate for them.
    - Think about salary grades. and would keeping employees for the same level for 6 + years makes sense

ALL THE ABOVE DO NOT MAKE A GOOD COMPANY !!! . The banners that say we carry everything and care for employees is a hodge wash and total lies

I have been working at Oracle full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Decent salary + commission. Good health benefits. Lots of sharp people. Time off and work like balance is good. Oracle name carries a lot of weight and can open doors when leaving Oracle.

    Cons

No training or onboarding process for new reps. Leadership is poor and essentially absent. Company culture is demoralizing. Zero ethics in the sales orgs. Technology tools are humorously outdated and inefficient. Maybe compensation issues in the sales org, constantly finding ways to not pay reps and managers.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Management is extremely self serving. Oracle should try it's own software to improve business, HR, finance and sales process. Sales org is bloated, way too many people calling on one account. Try putting the customer first. Stop counting your dollars and work to make improvements in the org that will equal more revenue in the end. Make an effort to retain sharp employees, best people are leaving as fast as possible.
