Pros

Good environment, office space, equipment, technology, benefits

Cons

Salaries for those working at Oracle for 5+ years tend to be low compared to new folks coming in. Low increases, if any, year to year, and low bonuses compared to many of the competitors. Also, no performance reviews are mandated upon many teams, thus no set of objectives, goals, or accomplishments are acknowledged by management.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Need to build morale and motivation within the teams, set objectives, do performance reviews, and reward teams - via team building, compensation, promotion.

    Pros

    Great benefits and training provided. Offers opportunity for career progression and unlimited salary potential. The Company adds to your resume a Fortune 500 Company which creates career opportunities both inside Oracle and in the industry. You are given autonomy in your territory which enables unlimited experience potential and ability to understand the process of running your own business.

    Cons

    Some Sales territories have unreasonable quotas that are several times the historical revenue production. Limited contacts are given to new employees and account information is not immediately provided. Can take several months to accumulate contacts and identify deals.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Develop a more strategic account mapping strategy for new reps. Look at the new representative's contacts and experience rather than assigning accounts at random. Assign quotas that are attainable based on realistic growth over historical revenue production for each territory.
