Oracle – “Oracle Sales insight”

Pros

It gives you great exposure to the the software industry. They have some great poeple who work there.

Cons

Very process driven to the point of being absurd. No authority to do anything. Everything must be approved through multiple levels of managment up to and including Larry Ellison. Even for minor contact changes. Not very nimble in the market. Pit sales groups against each other to the detriment of large sales. Sales groups cut each other out of deals so Oracle gets less rather then more.

Advice to Senior Management

I think most of the employees care about the company. Senior management could care less about rank and file employees.
