I have been working at Orbital Sciences full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

The company has very good early career netwoking and opportunities such as the Orbital Early Career Network, the G. David Low Rotation Program, and the "Warp 10" innovation incubator program. The work is very exciting and rewarding. The pay is typical and the benefits and work environment is above average.

    Cons

Some of the policies that the company has seems like responses to previously getting 'stung' by unscrupulous employess. Some policies are very strict about travel reimbursement, tuition reimbursement, recording work milestones, etc. This and some other elements of the management (some not all) lead to an environment that has low employee expectations when it comes to 'professionalism'.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

If you treat your employees like the professionals that they are, then you will recruit better, retain better, and develop better employees.
