Pros

Mis-management and greed have brought it to Chapter 11. Enjoy.

Cons

Bloated and overpaid upper management. Constant chaos. Ridiculous standards with no payroll. Poor quality of life commitments. At OSH you are a number.

Advice to Management

While it is likely that approximately 1200 associates will be out of a job, the person who created this mess has petitioned the bankruptcy judge to approve 3.1 million in bonuses. Of this amount the CEO may get between 800k and 1.2 million as a bonus for retention. Really? That sums it up. Many stores close, upper management sucks the company dry. Pathetic.

    Pros

Great staff to work with at my store.
Great customers for the most part. Customers at my store are the most important thing, without them we would be out of business.
Open communication from the top down. Willingness to give ideas a chance to see if they will work.

    Cons

Staffing levels can be stretched during the week. Need better stock crew, one that will place merchandise in its home.
Pay for most positions on the low side.
Current unrest by the customers and some staff due to media reports of closures. But senior management need to make the media responsible for reporting the truth as written in press releases.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the open communications about current company events.
Do promotions from within instead of hiring outsiders that have exaggerated their experience.
Promote those that work hard and show initiative.

    Pros

At this point I can't think of any.

    Cons

One of the big ones right now is the club Orchard program that they have going. They threaten our jobs if we don't sign up a certain percentage daily and they don't care that the customers are upset with being pressured by us to join. I don't see how this is legal and will be asking the labor board and other authorities about this.

    Advice to Management

    Choke on that chicken!
