“Awesome experience of being a Laboratory Assistant”
I have been working at Oregon Health & Science University full-time for more than a year
Pros – Great PIs, access to government funded research materials, primate center, great networking opportunities, knowledge that you are contributing to actual medicine (not big pharma)
Cons – Not as much pay as capitalist research, employment more dependent on grants/funds, sometimes certain PIs could be very grating; otherwise, it's really difficult to say anything negative. Favorite job I've had.
Advice to Senior Management – None--they are amazing. Maybe more opportunities for smaller projects.
Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company
