You work with talented professionals from the Americas, in a muticultural and amazing city

Cons

there is no schedule, during deployments you work, saturdays, sundays, holidays, etc.

Create a better carrer path, and retain valuable professionals, whom as an institution had been trained and know the organization´s values and objectives

    I have been working at Organization of American States

    Pros

    -International organization with strong connections to political appointees in Washington DC
    -Great support by country offices
    -Depending on your projects, it can be a very rewarding experience and opportunity to create meaningful change in the Americas
    -Staff enjoy excellent benefits - salaries, leave, retirement etc.

    Cons

    - Very bureaucratic
    - Too constrained by its political nature
    - Too many management staff concerned with passing their time rather than encouraging learning and professional development
    - Financially unstable and little resources

    Encourage more professional development and learning among staff and undertake activities to improve the Organization's image as one that can actually make a difference.
