I worked at Organize-It full-time for less than a year

Pros

The customers were great, the store was well organized and clean, and the rest of the staff were excellent to work with, definitely team players

Cons

they expected you to lift and carry too much weigh, this work was not discussed during the interviews. They also expected you to climb ladders, again not in the job description. This could have been a great job but unfortunately the tasks were not spelled out.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Management, you need to work with your employees as a team, no one wants to feel that they do not belong, or are not an asset to the company. Encourage your employees to want to do their very best, and not just put in their time to get a paycheck.

Zero opportunity for growth within the company for any employee.

I have been working at Organize-It

    Pros

Dogs are allowed to come to the office. We work on flex time - as long as you get your hours it doesn't matter when you come in. Vacation time is limited but unpaid days off are easy enough to negotiate.

    Cons

There is no hierarchy. The owner of the company is at the top of the pyramid and every other employee is at the bottom. There is no opportunity for growth within the company. This means most people don't care much about their jobs and there is a general attitude of displeasure throughout the office and warehouse. It is a great first job to help build a resume but it is not the company you want to work for for years to come.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Congratulate a job well done, give positive feedback. Give deadlines and goals to meet to keep employees on track. Try to create a more motivating atmosphere. Allow for some level of growth within the company.
