Pros

Great place for contractors, especially SAP specialists. Interesting business, intelligent and dedicated employees from manager level down.

Cons

HR leadership is completely ineffective. This team has failed to implement a functioning HR SAP tool in over 4+ years. What has been implemented does not work and does not have correct data. Surprisingly, no one in the HR organization was let go during the recent layoffs.

Highly touted "Company Values" are not followed by leadership. Software tools purchased for six figures sit idle. VP and Director heavy across the organization yet very little work gets completed on time and on budget. No apparent consequences for leadership failure.

In the past 12-14 months,
1) CEO resigned
2) Redbox Pres left
3) CFO resigned
4) Pres & COO resigned
5) CAO resigned
6) Coinstar Pres resigned
7) All but 2 new ventures were shutdown
8) 8.5% of workforce was laid off
9) ecoATM Pres left
10) ecoATM CFO left
11) CNVO reassigned as ecoATM Pres

    Pros

    - great work environment and people...almost still small enough to be family
    - ability to grow and develop skills from great people
    - benefits are progressive and fair with many small "fringe" benefits
    - innovation and technology are two attributes that the company wants and puts effort into
    - clear strengths in operations, money handling, retail sales and business development

    Cons

    - smaller company where opportunities to grow within are not great but they do come up so not really a big deal if you can get in the door, execute well and are good at networking.
    - developing employees is often talked about but not consistently executed

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    - stick with the strategy and develop your people. the rest will follow
