I worked at OverDrive full-time

Pros

Opportunity to work on some very exciting and interesting products.

Cons

This company is the epitome of terrible things you hear about small companies. Expect to work 60 hours a week consistently, be micromanaged by your boss and the executives, and have no personal, department, or company goals which feeds into the complete chaos you will experience at this company.

You will also be working in a building that half finished and get paid below market value for the work that you do.

    Pros

The rest of the staff were very professional and relatively easy to get along with. Overall a good bunch of people.

    Cons

The salary was considerably below market-competitive wages. I took this position as a first job out of college and it was fine for that purpose.

I have been working at OverDrive full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

OverDrive is full of passionate people that are working in a positive atmosphere. Being a smaller company they definitely still communicate with their employees on happenings around the office. You can always find a friendly face and someone with brilliant ideas that just need time to execute. Compared to previous full time employers OverDrive has been my best experience. There are many other perks with events and activities inside the campus to help break up your day and everyone is encouraged to participate.

    Cons

Hiring process could be made easier, be patient it takes a couple interviews and working around other people's schedules as it is a smaller company a lot of management does a lot of the work too.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep on communicating the successes and things that need work and be open to suggestions.
