The company has a high lack of regard toward its employees.

I have been working at Overhead Door full-time

Pros

Some of the people are nice; decent pay coming out of college; good experience with ERP programs and project management (to a point)

Cons

Management is very reactive; not much room for growth; unbelievable lack of accountability; apathy towards employees

Advice to ManagementAdvice

worry more about your people.... higher employee engagement will lead to a lower turnover and higher productivity. Overworking everyone, which is a common theme in the other reviews as well as my experience alike, creates an environment of contempt and a lack of satisfaction.

I have been working at Overhead Door full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Good work/life balance, decent hours, fair starting pay, good environment, good people to work around, good benefits structure

    Cons

Raise structure is just enough for me to consistently look elsewhere; growth opportunities can be lacking

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Must invest in current employees a bit more to keep them longer, though the location sometimes can keep people here no matter.

I worked at Overhead Door full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Below the executive level, it's a great group of people. Nice, friendly and absolutely want to do the right thing for customers and each other.

    Cons

They tout nice bonuses, but you don't find out until you're in that their bonus has only paid once in 10 years!!!!!

The senior leadership is disconnected and apathetic toward the workforce. They sit in meetings week in and week out counting their money, but none of them have a clue how the business runs or how to improve it. As an example, they wouldn't agree to a 25 cent per hour increase for factory workers, but at that same factory they spent over 1.5M in expedited shipping because they can't forcast and don't want to carry any inventory of parts. Stupid.

They espouse values, and print them and put them all over the walls, but do not abide by them or believe in them....especially when it comes to respecting their employees and treating people with dignity.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

You're too old and stodgy....time to retire and get out of the way.
