Growing and changing company that is struggling to make it to the next level.

Business Intelligence Manager (Current Employee)
Salt Lake City, UT

ProsOverstock has a solid technology department. The team environment is positive and team members work well to collaborate with each other. There is a willingness to try new ideas

ConsOverstocks' greatest strengths are it's weakness. The executive staff as ADHD and tends to try so many new things there is a lack of focus and consistency.

Advice to Senior ManagementFocus on core business! Develop and stick to a consistent business plan.

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company

I have been working at Overstock.com full-time for more than a year

Pros: Flexible work hours; don't really have to work as hard as you might for others in the industry; good people to work with; improving direction… Cons: Non-sensical, herky-jerky, unfounded and disastrous strategic shifts from senior executives; virtually no ROI projections done for strategic projects, and certainly no standard office that would… Advice to Senior Management: Form a five-year plan and stick to it, rather than… Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company… More
