I worked at Owens Corning full-time for more than 5 years

Pros

Company offers opportunities for advancement and the world headquarters in Toledo is the nicest of any to work for in the city.

Cons

Significant relocation is often required to advance, below average opportunity for work / life balance, and employee benefits are below average (medical, vacation).

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Implement a true pay for performance system and give individual managers more flexibility in rewarding top performers.

    I worked at Owens Corning

    Pros

Great portfolio of businesses; very supportive of young talent and look to grow and develop skills. Great for people out of college or at any point in their career.

    Cons

Some of the businesses can feel silo-ed which isn't the worst because you get to focus on your team and business.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Give more money to young talent out of college to be competitive against other big companies. Underpaying and overworking young talent is not acceptable.
