    I have been working at Owens-Illinois

    Pros

    Large company and the compensation is comprable to the industry standard. The pace is fast and there are a lot of oportunities to make a difference if you are in the right roll.

    Cons

    Recent restructure lead to a lot of people in new roles without any plan to train them, structure what the new job duties are, and what the goals are. There is a lack of communication and follow through on new initiatives both corprate and localy. A lot of talk about safety but little action.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    There are too many new initiatives constantly starting and the old ones are not completed or canceled. In some cases they oppose one another. Chose the imortant ones, communicate them, track their progress and follow through to completion.
