Former Employee – worked at Owens & Minor

Pros – Company has alot of great people and a unique culture in the distribution centers making it an enjoyable place to work. The benefits and pay are fair for the opportunity to work in such a casual yet busy environment.

Cons – All the decisons are made at the corporate office regarding new hires or promotions at supervisor and above level-field leadership has no latitude to promote or hire at those levels. Senior management spends a great deal of time talking about how they care about the "teammates" yet that is not reflected in their actions.

Advice to Senior Management – Stop making hiring and promotion decisions based on your like for someone rather than their abilities to perform the job. Listen more to your field leadership who are actually involved in the distribution center activity and customer relationships.
