I worked at Oxford Global Resources full-time (less than an year)

Pros

-have a great commission program, but it takes several months for you to start seeing the rewards.

-discount on stock

-flexible with hours if you are in school or have children, they pretty much will bend over backwards for you.

-offer excellent skill training so you can learn about the different IT skills. every interview i went on commented on the excellent training that Oxford gives you

-the people in my office were amazing, made some long term friendships, but it isn't all about

-offer President's Club to the top Account Managers and Technical Recruiters in the entire company.

Cons

-work day starts at 7AM, there is no point because all morning meetings are repetitive and pointless. you don't start making calls until 8:30AM/9AM anyways

-the pay is horrible and they expect you to work long hours and get paid absolutely nothing. you don't start commissioning out for atleast 6 months

-it's all about numbers, they don't care how many starts you get. they want you to get TRAFFIC and ADDS.

-there are some great team leads and segment managers there, but for the most part, they are more concerened about making money for themselves than teaching you

-horrible benefits, no bonuses and do not appreciate their employees.

-not all offices are held to the same standards

-they are more concerned about getting their 80% markup that taking a hit on the markup to gain future business with a client and keeping the relationship with the consultant

Advice to ManagementAdvice

take the time and teach, don't criticize and point things out that are going wrong via email or through another person. sit them down and help them improve their abilities. pay more money. no one can live off of what you are paying.

I worked at Oxford Global Resources full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

You learn to deal with office politics, it teaches you to embrace a 50 hour work week, you meet a lot of interesting consultants across the nation.

    Cons

Mandatory 50 hour work week; bad reputation in the industry; the commission is about 3% of the gross profit per week; there is no technology training or professionalism.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Train your employees and work harder to make it an environment that people want to work hard in.

I have been working at Oxford Global Resources

    Pros

If you are not the typical college graduate that expects to come out of the box making a 50-60K dollar salary but you are willing to work hard you will be rewarded. The sky is the limit for earnings potential and if you want more then work harder. There is no one to blame but yourself if you dont like your paycheck every week.

    Cons

There are only so many things you can control in the staffing industry so riding the Oxford rollercoaster can be a bit stressful at times but again very rewarding.
