I worked at P.F. Chang's part-time (more than 3 years)

Pros

Upscale, great atmosphere, beautiful interior, friendly staff and guest. Pay can be rewarding because of more upscale clients/guest. Busy, 1 - 3 hour waits.

Cons

Busy constantly, some rude guest, 12 hour or longer work shifts, have to buy uniform including shirt and pants and in some instances shoes, but shoes are provided.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

To care more about the lives of their employees. Without the employees, the business would not thrive.

    decent pay. fun co-workers, flexible scheduling

    Cons

    hired too many hostesses; hours got cut. I have to pay bills

    Inform employee about possible hour cutting in interview.

    I have been working at P.F. Chang's full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

    Flexible scheduling is really about all I have to say positively about PF anymore. They have drop benefits while adding more and more asine service steps to the job.

    Cons

    Constant micromanaging from top brass downward. With every misguided change come more work for less money. Inability to adapt with the culture. Inability to allow regional stores to respond to issues regionally over the corporate status quo.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Start consulting people who are actually serving on ways to improve. Stop micromanaging every aspect of service on the floor, it stunts your workers and drives them away.
