PA Consulting – “You can do a lot better!”

Pros

They take anyone! Work is varied. Suited for self-starters. If you are at a lower grade then quick progression is possible, and the training options are OK.

Cons

Politics are endless, lots of incompetent managers, reward package is poor, greed amongst management is clear. Unfortunately doing a good job, and delivering for clients comes second to keeping the revenue going. Many PA consultants are like Civil Servants.

Advice to Senior Management

Hire better quality people, don't bid for every crap job going, and stop body-shopping! Aim higher, stop competing with companies like Hedra, Atkins, and Deliotte, and start competing with the McKinseys and Bains of this world.
