Current Employee - Anonymous Employee in Seattle, WA

    Pros

Excellent Job security. Well run conservative company with opprotunities to advance and learn. You will learn a lot about how to run a successful company, look at solutions beyond the obvious and find way to accomplish goals with minimal expense.

    Cons

Things happen really slowly. Very conservative culture which not for everyone. Many people have long successful careers.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

There is more then the bottom line. Many of your belt tightening efforts are costing more money then they save

    Pros

Paccar has a long and successful history. The pay is decent, probably the best in Denton. However, if you can certainly make more money working in Dallas.

    Cons

The salary increases at Paccar only come every 18 month in good times and longer in bad times. These raises are supposed to be merit raises, but they end up being 3% cost of living increases.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Paccar is driven by fear of upper management. Upper management is very harsh and demanding and not really in touch with the everyday opperations. As long as the blinds are at a 45 degree angle when the chairman comes, everything is ok. Just don't give him a reason to complain.
