I have been working at PACCAR full-time for more than 8 years
Pros – - Access to Global Business
- Ability to impact business & see results in a Fortune 200 company
- Lean Attention to detail
- Focus on results
Cons – - Have to get over conservative business practices (suit, lunch hour, people answer phones, no cell, etc)
- Compensation is below par
- Above inspires mediocrity in higher level managers
- Not always smartest person in charge - but they don't know that
Advice to Senior Management – Learn to be flexible on the stuff that does not matter and focus on who delivers what - not just one what has worked in the past.
No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company
