Pros

PXL has state of the art technology to perform your job more efficiently, good communication network and organized. They have acquired and/or merged with other CROs to grow to about 11k employess.

Cons

For my situation as a CRA there was not a quality of life balance, once you leave it takes months to close out outstanding expense reports, unrealistic travel expectations and metrics. Quality issues with monitoring often slipped through the cracks. Managers seem to be too intimidated to give you honest feedback in favor of playing games with site assignment and offerring more training, with hopes the performance issue will improve.

Advice to Management

The relationship with the separated employee is just as important as the relationship with current employees.

    Pros

    Management is very helpful in career growth
    Fast paced and interesting work
    Lot of opportunies to learn new things

    Cons

    Always overworked and don't get a lot of recognition of how hard you are working
    Management constantly adding new things that have to be done
    Redundancy in what must be entered into computer systems

    Advice to Management

    Hire more people and stop expecting people to get 80 hr worth of work done in 40.

    Pros

    None, it was a terrible experiment that I am sorry I tried. The company hired me to do one job, but from day one changed my manager and then demoted me to a lower level job I was way overqualified for. For your sanity, you should never work at Parexel. I am so happy I got away when I got a chance!

    Cons

    Everything. Antiquated clinical research processes, inadequate training, not using employees for the positions they were hired for, created hostile environment between teams and management.
