They manage geographically distributed teams very well.

Distributed teamc can make it harder to stand out and move up.

    Pros

Staff, not management, who work with you are the very people holding that company together and are the best you could ask for as colleagues.

    Cons

Very poor management style, only cares about the money line for the company and will work you to death. Not everyone is treated fairly and if you don't hit the right manager right off during your first month there, watch out, you are on the black list - not able to move out the department, receive minimal raises, no "ata boy" for any good job well done and can be denied upping your education because they will find a way to say the course doesn't fall within your job title. In doing performance reviews, over 90% of staff receive "met rquirement", and when mgmt. is asked how do I get to the next level (beyond met requirements), you are told "you have to go above and beyond". That is their favor answer, and they don't explain - "you just have to go above and beyond what you are doing" is said over and over. PAREXEL will try to cut corners wherever they can and that means at the staff's level. PAREXEL wants 120% out of you daily but can't provide the needed equipment - their laptop/desktop systems are way out dated and the internal equipment is always down....makes it very difficult to do your work, and then this it held against you in performance, so that gives them the opportunity to hold back raises are give you a very minimal raise.

    Advice to Management

Management needs to learn how to run a company, treat staff fairly, promote from within and check salaries. You are losing some of the best talent and need to wake up...word is out there in the industry that "PAREXEL can't hold onto staff, its a big turnstyle company".

    Pros

Learning the industry and getting the training you need to move on.
Use this place as a stepping stone to better companies that pay better and will respect employees.

    Cons

The metrics created and timelines given are simply unrealistic.
The new LEAP initiative has created intense issues that have clogged employee's abilities to actually do the work they are given. Program interfaces dont work. The guidelines are not drilled down and specific enough to do the job. More emphasis on naming conventions than doing the actual job. Data entry duplication is intense. Management is out of touch with employees and the timelines are excessively unrealistic.
I find its sad to see so many good employees leave as a result of the incompetence of others. Backstabbing and bitterness runs rampant and is fueled by the poor morale.
People are only staying as the jobs market is poor at the moment.
Turnover is high. Great work ethics and high performance is not rewarded.

    Advice to Management

I doubt they would actually take the advice so I will spare myself the torment of typing it all out as there is just so much they need to do.
