I worked at PATH full-time (more than 3 years)

Pros

It has a very good work environment, The salary is also good and no employee complains on that part, The colleagues are good and supportive. Globally recognized and respected not-for- profit organization.

Cons

The nature of work is almost similar and thus repetitive and it can be boring to many. Also the scope of vertical growth is almost limited. Also being not-for-profit organization many people would not be interested in joining it.

    PATH is full of talented, passionate and driven individuals who are committed to having a positive impact on people's health around the world.

    Cons

    Although individuals at PATH are committed to the mission and it is an innovative culture, there are some limitations in opportunities for advancement in one's career.

    I worked at PATH

    Pros

    Great new facilities. Somewhat flexible in hours, depending on department. Many great projects making healthcare more accessible around the world. Decent benefits package. Opportunities to keep informed about company's projects. Diverse and well educated staff.

    Cons

    Environment plagued by long term employees not willing to change. Many inefficiencies cause a lot of unnecessary and duplicate work. Pay is below market for most mid to lower level jobs, but that is normal in the non-profit world. No well developed management structure. Grant monies restrict posibility for bonuses and pay increases.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Create and promote a more organized supervisory/management structure. There are too many employees directing themselves, which ends up in conflicting priorities and waste of resources. Promote and support new ideas and efficiencies. Recognize employee successes.
