    Pros

They had programs for their lower paid employees to help save for retirement.

    Cons

Treated so horribly that I quit and got unemployment. PNC tried to sue me but the judge threw the case out after he saw my evidence. It was a toxic work environment. Some days when then network would go down and we could no do our work we got lectured and threatened with not being paid since we were not working. They threatened to fire me if I went out on FMLA and my work was not done. Just horrible.

A big company that cares about its employees like it was a small company

I have been working at PNC Financial Services Group full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

The company has a culture of appreciation and prefers to use a carrot rather than a stick to motivate. Work from home option is common. Managers are reasonable, relatable and supportive of families. Senior management makes an effort connect with employees at every level.

    Cons

Information Services suffers under the burden of regulatory requirements and poor processes. Work hard, not smart is the norm. Hard to advance--every move in IS seems to be lateral.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

If you measured the amount of time wasted in poor processes, rework and correcting bad decisions you should find sufficient reason to make long overdue improvements.

    Recommends
