I worked at PNC Financial Services Group full-time (more than 5 years)

Pros

Great management, two weeks pd off starting out, prorated the first year. Great training, in corporate office.

Cons

Shift bids that do not coincide for students, they happen after the semesters take place making it almost impossible to continue education unless it is online.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get rid of the shift bid for specialized departments at least. Groups tend to be small enough to work shifts out on own, make them to were you have two days off in a row, and align them with the school semesters.

I have been working at PNC Financial Services Group part-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

The only upside is that there are no Sundays or holiday hours.

    Cons

Very little pay for what you're expected to do, no one in the company actually cares about you as a person, goals are consistently raised no matter how reachable it is. Management comes and goes as they please and most aren't trained properly. Working for the company for as long as I have (5 years) it is super disappointing how little anyone cares about you and how little time you ever have for anything outside work even as a part time employee. This place is only getting worse.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

It would be great if management actually treated their employees like they mattered instead of forcing them to cover job duties that are not theirs in order for management to kick back. Allow employees to have a life outside PNC. Also promote from within, most management positions are filled with people who have no idea how to do the actual jobs. And stop leaving branches short handed for extended periods.
