Approves of CEO

I have been working at PNNL full-time (More than 8 years)

Pros

Work, life balance is good. Great people to work with.

Cons

A "Good ol' boy network" centered around various religious denominations exist at the lab and if you are not part of it you will get left behind in regards to both salary and career advancement opportunities. Salary freezes, layoffs, furloughs....the lab has them all which hurts employee morale.

Advice to Management

Break up the Good ol' boy network. Offer more career advancement opportunities for employees.

    Pros

Relative job security, if you live in the Tri-cities. Large portfolios with various agencies in the Federal government

None if you live in the Tri-cities; if you are off-site it is a major negative strike. Project managers are selected by who they know, not what they know.

    Advice to Management

I am not convinced Management listens to advice from folks other then who they report to.
