  1.

Nice place to work, just nothing to do after work and poor pay

I have been working at PPL

    Pros

The people are all respectful. Corporation is committed to safety and compliance. The company's management will take time to talk to employees at any level of the org chart.

    Cons

The people are all respectful. Corporation is committed to safety and compliance, even at the expense of making money

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

RAISE THE WAGES. PPL does not pay a market wage. It also shows a huge bias toward external candidates at the expense of passionate and committed internal candidates

    Recommends
    Approves of CEO

    I worked at PPL

    Pros

    Benefits
    friendly coworkers
annual review process (annoying to complete but gave excellent feedback on my performance)
easy commute from anywhere in the Lehigh Valley

    Cons

Allentown. I wouldn't have left if the company had been located closer to Philadelphia or New York City. I felt safe during the day - coming and going to my car or going out for lunch, but the area didn't have enough to offer.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Work on hiring and keeping young talent. Trips to PPL Park or maybe even a company organized trip to New York.

    Recommends
    No opinion of CEO
