I worked at PSAV part-time (less than a year)

Pros

Networking, good hourly pay, opportunity for some advancement, good experience for those looking to get into live events.

Cons

Not actually part time, no guaranteed hours. You are really being screened to get you into a system that lets the different hotel directors 'crew up' for the various productions. You'll pretty much be applying for a job over and over again. This is not explained during the initial interview process.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be more up front about what the part timers are facing.

I have been working at PSAV full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

When there's business, there's a LOT of opportunity for hours.

    Cons

At times there's no business, so full time is not actually a guaranteed 40 hours a week. There also isn't much room for "promotion" unless you quit and reapply.
