Pros

You will enhance your general A/V skills and often your co-workers are great to work with.

Cons

Terrible hours, schedules aren't set for the next week until the day before, which is a Friday so you have no ability to plan your weekends, and company has a lot of nonsense policies that make you a door mate to customers instead of a valuable team member. You have to pay for your own suit. And you don't get reimbursed until 2 months later with a measly $300.

Advice to Management

Empathize and respect your laborers. Don't constantly cave to the unruly demands of corporate clients. You can't create a business world where the word "no" never exists.

    Pros

Good starting pay, relaxed management, get the work done type attitude versus 8-5 everyday.

    Cons

No room for growth, hard work does not pay off.

    Advice to Management

Give employees better incentives, allow for growth in salaries and reward hard work with something else than an email.

    Pros

PSAV definitely knows how to be a corporation. Load up on corporate employees that operate their systems, and cut down on service level employees.

    Cons

I was absorbed during the merger. My employment lasted until the slightest opportunity to end it came along.

    Advice to Management

Keep as many legacy Swank employees, because they're the ones that come from a culture of feeling appreciated and providing excellent customer service. Perhaps it will spread to legacy PSAV personnel.
