I worked at PSD Group

Pros

If you enjoy autonomy and freedom then this is a good place to work. You can open up new opportunities and the sky is the limit. Great client base and sector coverage.

Cons

It can become a little bit boring to be doing the same thing every day and offering a limited service to clients. The cap of bonuses seems a little behind the market.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Look into career progression and perhaps broaden the service proposition so that you can retain consultants for the longer term.

    Pros

    - PSD Group offers one of the best remuneration and commission structure in the recruitment industry.
    - Sector and function-based approach ensures that each department is kept reasonably independent from each other.
    - Good support in terms of job posting, CV formatting etc.

    Cons

    - Even though it is one of the largest print advertisers in UK, PSD Group has a very low profile in Asia.
    - Sector and fuction-based approach can give rise to conflict within potentially overlapping sectors and functions.
    - UK-listed company which was severely affected by the financial crisis and consequently forced to downsize significantly.
    - Firm is lacking direction in terms of what it wants to achieve in Asia.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    - Hire an office manager to supervise work in the Asia offices
    - More effort to be spent on marketing as the firm is virtually unknown in the regional market.
    - Be clear of the direction of the firm in Asia so that staff becomes more motivated.
