I worked at Pace Suburban Bus

    Pros

Stability. Generous paid time off ON PAPER, you'll be expected to check in and work on vacation and keep on top of your emails off hours. Very good benefits except for 401k (no match)

    Cons

Ridiculous management, rampant favoritism, department heads are little dictators and are often at war with other departments, expect open yelling, tattling, blaming, fingerpointing, yes, just like children. Stupidity and slackers abound yet are untouchable and it is understood and accpeted that they don't produce so don't expect it and that you'll have to pick up the slack. Dated, rigid policies, stagnant, very untrusting culture/environment. Open hostility toward staff level employees, they can't be trusted, they need to be micro-managed. Work/life balance is non existent, you will be expected to be at the beck and call of certain managers even if they are not your own. If you are scheduled to leave early or be off and certain managers "need' you, you'll be called to the carpet for being "unavailable".

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Clean house, get out of the 70s, look into policies, be progressive, do some serious work on culture, evaluate pay, take a serious look at your employees, get rid of managers and even staff who do NOTHING other than carry a title, motivate with something other than fear,
