Pros

Benefits, good pay, stability, lots of opportunities for inside transfer. RDO is a real plus. Some teams are very good to work on. Exciting projects. Company is very focused on your safety, it is actually a high priority and you are encouraged to get as much safety training as possible. Stable company with good underlying business plan. You can telecommute pretty often. You get a bunch of sick time, so much so, thats it nearly impossible to use it all.

Cons

Hours can be long, outdated technology, silos exist in some spots. Can be highly political at times and you need to steer clear of that. Some outdated technology exists and that can be a real pain. Alot of sites that you may need to travel to, some groups very difficult to interface with. Vacation time is accrued as you go, not in one lump sum. It is only 10 days. Number of paid holidays could be higher.

Advice to Senior Management

Track closer to corporate goals. Talk alot, but real action is slow in coming.
