I worked at Pacific Gas and Electric full-time for less than a year

Pros

Working there was very goot pay. ALOT of overtime if you want it.

Cons

Management was out of touch with its workers there. Workers were very underappreciated there which is the reason for the high turnover rate.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Reconnect with the employees and let then know that you not only care but understand the stress and extreme attention to detail they deal with every day. When peoples lives are at stake, there is no room for error! The organization, as a whole, can grow only if both management and employees welcome the change.

I worked at Pacific Gas and Electric full-time

    Pros

Opportunities to work with new technology and significant investment in leading technologies

    Cons

IT senior leadership does not have experience working in a regulated industry; also VERY limited experience working with utilities. New leadership model may not be effective. Business clients likely to realize limitations of leadership and become disenchanted. Senior leadership removed from and seems to be very disinterested in employee welfare and employee engagement.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Leverage experience of employee base that have significant utility experience and knowledge with customer base; executive leadership needs to become more engaged with employees at all levels.

I have been working at Pacific Gas and Electric full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Benefits, salary, and that is all!!!

    Cons

Really too numerous to list. The most backword, dishonest, unethical, and deeply immoral company I've seen in a long time!!!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Fire useless, imcompetent scumbags that have no moral code. Hire competent individuals based on merit, experience, moral code and talent!
