Former Employee - Interpreter in Portland, OR

I worked at Pacific Interpreters as a contractor for more than 3 years

Pros

Flexible Poisition. Good Pay. Work from home.

Cons

They will hire and fire you over the phone.
One complaint aganist you and you are out the door without a chance to understand what happened.
Quality assurance won't take into consideration your loyalty, your high statistics performance nor your great qualifications.
Even if you took calls during your off hours, they don't care.... you will get a message that "Pacific has chosen to terminate your services.... Have a GREAT DAY...."

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Appreciate your telephonic interpreters

I have been working at Pacific Interpreters as a contractor for less than a year

    Pros

Nothing is positive about this company- I feel sorry for the actual founders... Now that a company has bought them out -it is about the money not the service they provide!

    Cons

No one they hire is actually an interpreter- staff is sub par and communication = ZERO
They say to companies that they are all about the company - they are not!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Do not try to pay me 30-40 cents less a minute than other companies!! This is why you get sub par interpreters---qualified interpreters would NEVER work for this company.
