Former Employee - Intern in Sui, Balochistan (Pakistan)

I worked at Pakistan Petroleum Limited full-time (less than a year)

Pros

Attractive and competitive salary
very good living environment as there is no boss culture on field work but there is somewhat in headoffice

Cons

Poor Management
not much to learn or get polished because no body will individually help you to learn.you have to learn everything about the plants etc by yourself

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Initiate some steps to help understand the new trainee engineers about the plant and help them to understand the basics concepts and thinking behind the plant setup

Recommends
Positive Outlook

I have been working at Pakistan Petroleum Limited full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

A market compatible salary and job security

    Cons

pace of work is really very slow, there is no grooming and no such opportunities to move forward based on your performance. Company's focus is only on production and it does not pay any heed to employee satisfaction, employee motivation, job enrichment or providing the basic necessities of life. Necessities are considered a luxury.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Improve on points mentioned above

I have been working at Pakistan Petroleum Limited full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

PPL is a name of opportunity. It is a place where one ca learn, present ideas and apply them freely in a good working environment.

    Cons

As such no downsides of working with PPL if one wants to stay and work in Pakistan.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Upper management should be more keen in finding out the grievances of the employees, both from monetary and training point of view.
