Palmetto Health Employee Review

Current Employee – been working at Palmetto Health full-time for more than 3 years

Pros – Benefits are great and most of the fellow staff are good to work with. Job has a set schedule with every other weekend off and the number of days off can't be beat. Delivering and serving patient meals to their rooms can be very rewarding and you pretty much get to work in a very diverse environment meeting everyone.

Cons – Long hours-12 hour shifts can be killer on the feet and on sleep. The kitchen has a high turnover due to this and it is a pain to be understaffed trying to feed 300+ sick people.

Advice to Senior Management – Give us 8 hour shifts instead of rotating 12 hour shifts
