I have been working at Panasonic

    Pros

    - Amazing people
    - Good work environment
    - Sustainability goal of the company (No. 1 Green Electronics Company by 2018)

I consider the company to be one of the originators of a "socially responsible company".

    Cons

    - Difficult to implement change
    - Very challenging business climate (strong yen, competition, etc.)
    - Still traditionally Japanese (dominated by men, overwork encouraged, etc.)
    - Risk averse

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    - Encourage more diversity at all levels of the company (not just in US, but in Japan as well)
    - Embrace risk and be more open to innovation and creativity
    - Increase communication and transparency
    - Implement sustainable/ecological education and initiatives at all levels of the company, not just in manufacturing
